Job Description


Responsible for all aspects of the licensing and permitting of all trucks for TMC and related companies.


Over Dimensional Permits

Responsible for the ordering and securement of required over dimensional permits to insure that all trucks involved in the movement of over sized loads are complaint with the regulations of all states traveled.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:



The ordering of new plates for new and existing equipment, the transfer of existing plates from one truck to another as well as making sure that all required credentials are in order for the state of Iowa for processing.  The securement of all required permits for all trucks to run legally in all states and provinces.


Over Dimensional Permits

The ordering and securement and distribution of all required over dimensional permits for all trucks transporting oversize loads.  This includes instructions for the drivers on state requirements and restrictions and the placement of over dimensional signs, flags and strobe lights required by regulation for the movement of oversize loads.

Job Requirements



  • Four-year degree, preferably in Transportation and Logistics, and/or relevant experience in transportation or related field.
  • Fluent in computer applications and keyboard proficiency.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment and tolerate stress.
  • Ability to plan and organize, attention to detail, problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including good listening skills.
  • Possess courteous, yet assertive telephone personality.

  • Must be able to sit and use telephone and computer, simultaneously, for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to speak and hear clearly in a high volume telephone environment.
