Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Public Relations Coordinator will assist the Public Relations Manager with all internal and external communications as well as help with the coordination of corporate events.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Assist PR Manager with design of internal communications (ie. newsletter, flyers, posters)
  • Write and distribute press releases
  • Write transportation industry related articles and blogs for the quarterly corporate e-newsletter
  • Assist with creation and implementation of Social Media campaigns
  • Execute direct market email campaigns
  • Assist with the planning and execution of company events and activities
  • Manage postings for internal employee web portals
  • Generate story leads and ideas by engaging with drivers and personnel



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or Mass Communications is preferred.

Fluent in computer applications such as Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Strong writing and proof reading skills.

Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment and tolerate stress.

Ability to plan and organize, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work with employees at all levels.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
