TMC Transportation has an immediate full-time opening for a Product Manager working out of our office in Des Moines, Iowa.

 

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The primary function of a Product Manager is responsible for the overall scope, implementation, execution and delivery of successful projects within corporate IT product portfolio. This individual will collaborate with business stakeholders and members of IT to help build the vision and strategy necessary to deliver industry-leading innovative technology within Transportation and Logistics.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with business leaders and IT to identify and design technology-driven solutions to advance the business and support corporate initiatives.
  • Create and maintain product vision and roadmap with consistent execution and delivery.
  • Prioritization of projects and initiatives in accordance to business value.
  • Manage overall project schedules and status and communicate to necessary stakeholders.
  • Facilitation of Scrum ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint refinement meetings and sprint retrospectives.
  • Participates in the entirety of the project lifecycle from inception to deliver and monitoring.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • A strong team player who can build good working relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and identify priority across multiple business stakeholders
  • Ability to engage, encourage and motivate team members.
  • Ability to learn and understand business concepts.
  • Self-motivated and result-oriented.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products
  • Comfortable with various planning and collaboration tools
  • Understanding of software development practices, languages, and tools.
  • Agile/Kanban software development methodology

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of product management experience, including business analysis experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS< Computer Science, Business, or related field

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to sit and use telephone and computer, simultaneously, for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to speak and hear clearly in a high-volume telephone environment.
  • Minimal travel is required.
