TMC Transportation has an immediate full-time opening for a Logistics Pricing Analyst working out of our office in Bentonville, AR.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The primary function of a Logistics Pricing Analyst will be to assist the Pricing Manager and sales team with bid and spot quote related requests.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review, maintain, and organize the RFP Checklist for each customer bid
  • Work cohesively with the LSR, Team Lead, and General Manager to complete the necessary information to present to personnel in the review process. Gather all bid related documentation to set a timeline for completion
  • Send completed RFP Checklist and bid documents to the Pricing Manager for review/approval prior to starting RFP processing
  • Process RFP data and convert information gathered by using multiple reviewing templates and final processing methods
  • Assist the Pricing Manager and team with the development and implementation of reporting needs, as requested
  • Process small to mid-sized customer weekly, monthly, and quarterly RFP’s
  • Assist other Pricing Analysts in spot quoting, including staffing coverage during vacations and/or unscheduled absences
  • Track all completed customer feedback, benchmarks, and revenue obtained on the account during each term. Report progress of each account to the Pricing Manager on a weekly basis
  • Work with the Capacity Manager to receive monthly updates of dedicated carrier contracted pricing and capacity commitments obtained from the previous month for use in RFP processing and contract uploads in the TMS
  • Other duties may be assigned or changed as needs of department change

 

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Logistics and/or relevant degree, with 2 years of Logistics and Transportation experience; OR equivalent to 5 years of experience and sufficient knowledge in logistics or transportation
  • 1 year of logistics pricing experience, preferred but not required
  • Must be able to manipulate large data sets and bid documentation in Excel with accuracy
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Able to speak effectively to vendors, drivers, and other internal personnel
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast paced work environment
  • Must be professional, courteous, and reliable
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
