TMC Transportation has an immediate full-time opening for an energetic and motivated professional as a Customer Service Assistant working out of our Corporate Office in Des Moines, Iowa. Primary tasks will include the ability to effectively create safe routing for Commercial Motor Vehicles by updating an internal mapping data base. 


  • Creating safe routing for Commercial Motor Vehicles by updating an internal mapping database.
  • Maintaining customer databases.
  • Accurately entering both internal and external data.
  • Handling pre-calls.
  • Updating local directions for high volume customers.
  • Additional duties and projects as needed and assigned.

Job Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in transportation is preferred, but not required.
  • General knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft products including Word and Excel.
  • Exudes excellent communication skills both written and verbal. This includes providing best in class customer service.
