- Must hold and maintain a valid Class “A” Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
- Excellent driving record.
- Prior driving experience.
- Experience backing and operating a tractor-trailer unit in town and confined spaces.
- Comfortable working on your feet for long hours and working in all types of weather.

TMC Transportation has an immediate opening for a full time Yard Instructor working out of our training center in Ankeny, IA.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The primary function of a Yard Instructor is to assist in instruction, evaluation, and preparations of new trainees for the over-the-road truck driver positions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct instruction and hands-on training related to all aspects of commercial over-the-road truck driving that trainees are required to master before being released into their own tractor-trailer unit
- Constructively evaluate trainees and give feedback
- Maintain and uphold the TMC Transportation values
