Job Requirements of Manager-Grounds:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma with a minimum of 3 years previous related experience
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Word and Excel
- Able to function in a fast-paced work environment and tolerate stress
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to plan, organize, attentive to detail, and possess strong problem-solving skills
- Must have the ability to work extra hours as required by weather or workload
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions
- Must be able to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, stoop, climb while using hands to work for long periods of time
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to speak and hear in a loud work environment
- While performing the duties of the position, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, vibration, toxic or caustic chemicals, and high or precarious places

TMC Transportation has a full-time opening for a Building and Grounds Manager working out of our office in Brownsburg, IN.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The primary function of a Building and Grounds Manager is to oversee all aspects of building and grounds maintenance at the Brownsburg, Indiana facility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain functions and appearance of all TMC Transportation Property
- Stay compliant on all federal, state, and local levels
- Responsible in finding the best contractor/vendor for the job and process necessary paperwork
- Maintain and upkeep the fuel island, wash bay, and wash bay pump room
- Supervision of vendors contracted to provide upkeep and maintenance to facilities. These vendors are included but not limited to: contractor janitorial staff, contractor lawn and landscaping service, and snow removal service
- Supervision of maintenance internal building and grounds staff
- Other duties as assigned
