TMC Transportation has an immediate full-time opening for a Network Administrator working out of our office in Des Moines, Iowa.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The primary function of a Network Administrator is to deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operation.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the Vice President of Information Technology on major projects
  • Suggest all hardware for the company
  • Maintain software license compliance
  • Operate system maintenance of all servers; including virus protection, system updates, and general housekeeping efforts
  • Ability to administer all network
  • Log and manage inventory
  • Assist with help desk support
  • Review applications, system and security logs on a regular basis
  • Assist in preventative maintenance of computer and network hardware
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • MCSE, A+, CCNA, VMWare Certifications
  • Continued knowledge of Exchange Server, Windows Server, SQL Server
  • Working knowledge of Extreme Networking, Ruckus
  • Experience with other 3rd party software packages required for the job
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment and tolerate stress
  • 2 year degree or related work experience
  • Ability to stay current with technology
