TMC Transportation has an immediate full-time opening for Logistics Coordinator working out of our office in Columbia, South Carolina.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Lead Logistics Coordinator will be responsible to assist in the leadership, growth and development of the Logistics Coordinators for the TMC Logistics Department.  Employee will provide administrative support to the Logistics Department and directly assist the Logistics Compliance Manager in moving the department forward to make it top of its class in partner carrier quality and logistics compliance.  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Training and mentor all new and current coordinators
  • Ability to review and make risk decisions during the carrier set up process
  • Able to review and make sound decisions on cargo policies
  • Assisting Logistics Manager as needed on compliance issues
  • Checking for errors with the coordinator group on the carrier set up process & handle accordingly
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma with at least one year of related administrative work experience
  • Previous experience in the transportation industry preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) products.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment and tolerate stress
  • Ability to plan and organize, attention to detail, problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of leadership.
