TMC Transportation has an immediate full-time opening for a Financial Analyst working out of our office in Des Moines, Iowa.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The primary functions of a Financial Analyst are to support day-to-day Accounting functions, prepare and interpret financial reports, and provide in-depth financial and variance analysis for the Company.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and review various detailed financial reports and discuss results with Company Leadership
  • Analyze fluctuations for reasonableness and explain variations and trends
  • Interpret data, analyze results, and use data visualization techniques that tell the story behind the data
  • Develop reporting on key financial and operational metrics for the organization
  • Identify and analyze cost saving opportunities
  • Analyze business processes and transaction flows to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions
  • Assist in the development of financial projections and forecasts
  • Lead and manage Accounting related IT projects, including design and implementation.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel
  • Workday experience preferred
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment
  • Detail oriented and accuracy-focused
  • Display excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in leveraging technology to gain efficiencies
  • Ability to be a self-starter and proactively identify solutions to issues
