PRIMARY FUNCTION:
A Driver Payroll Processor will compute payroll for company and owner operator drivers on a weekly basis. This includes auditing computer files, entering deductions, entering changes associated with payroll, sending pay settlements, customer service and filing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Compiles payroll data, taxes, insurance, driver advances, and miscellaneous expenses to be withheld.
Enters data into computer files.
Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
Prepares and issues paychecks and settlements, including stuffing the envelopes with miscellaneous fliers to be distributed with the paychecks and settlements.
Maintains paper payroll and settlement files, to include notices of changes such as exemptions, insurance and other miscellaneous charges and reimbursements.
Audits payroll files and driver expenses to ensure accuracy.
Communicates with other departments as necessary.
Assists drivers and owner operators wanting to make changes to their withholding, 401(k), flexible spending plan, and direct deposit.
Assists drivers and owner operators with questions about their paycheck or settlement.
Responds to requests for wage verification.
Responds to subpoenas requesting wage information and garnishments.
Prepares periodic reports of earning, taxes, and deductions.

Job Requirements


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree in accounting/finance or equivalent related experience.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) products.
Ability to plan and organize, attention to detail, problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including good listening skills.
