TMC Transportation has an immediate full-time opening for a Dedicated Account Manager working out of our office in Charlotte, NC.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The primary function of a Dedicated Account Manager is to work directly with the TMC Transportation’s customers’ personnel and grow relationships along with managing the day to day business to ensure there loads reach the stores they service.

SHIFT IS:  5AM - 3PM, WITH ABILITY TO STAY LATE IF NEEDED AND WORK WEEKENDS IF NEEDED.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Setting up the daily delivery schedule for the customer.
  • Work with the customers Inbound shippers to ensure loads are ready to ship and pickup on time daily.
  • Help resolve issues that may arise in the day to day business.
  • Will work with the Driving team to ensure all loads are delivered on time and work thru any issues that may arise with this group.
  • Work closely with the temp agencies to ensure we have the staffing needed daily at the facility for load securement.
  • Improve efficiencies in tracking and updating status of customer orders
  • Work with customers to find solutions to move any last minute/critical shipments that arise
  • Monitor our performance thru KPI's and ensuring these are updated.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Four-year degree in Transportation and Logistics preferred, and/or relevant experience
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to plan, organize, be attentive to detail, and possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer solicitation skills
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees of organizations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Stay up to date on safety, operations, and maintenance reports and procedures
