TMC Transportation has an immediate full-time opening for a Billing Manager working out of our office in Des Moines, Iowa.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The primary function of a Billing Manager is to oversee all of the billing functions for the company. This position will provide management and oversight of department personnel and report to the CFO.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage in staffing discussions, personnel development, and team building
  • Assist with Brokerage Departments manual paperwork process and carrier concerns
  • Evaluate trip pak reports and respond to operations questions regarding drivers on the report.
  • Conduct employee 90 day and yearly performance reviews
  • Manage customer complaints regarding invoice errors and assigns complaint resolutions to appropriate department team members.
  • Work closely with Human Resources and assist in interviewing and selecting new departmental personnel
  • Post month-end reporting by the 1st of each month
  • Manage brokered freight rating processes for accuracy
  • Assist and determine training schedules on new department members

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates degree in Accounting or Finance, and/or related work experience
  • Previous leadership experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) products
  • Ability to plan and organize, attentive to detail, excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented with an accounting background
